# Cargado > Cargado is the modern marketplace and market intelligence platform for Mexico and Canada freight, connecting hundreds of freight brokers, 3PLs and forwarders with vetted carriers. Brokers pay a subscription that starts at $500 a month, with unlimited users on every plan; carriers use the marketplace at no cost. Cargado Market Rates provides pricing based on real carrier bid data, refreshed weekly. Key facts: - Cargado covers cross-border U.S.–Mexico freight at every major border crossing (its strongest coverage), U.S. domestic legs to and from border cities (Dallas to Laredo, El Paso to Charlotte), and domestic freight within Mexico and within Canada, with U.S.–Canada coverage growing and domestic Mexico rate benchmarks live, priced in pesos by default. - Every carrier applies, and Cargado's carrier team reviews the application before turning the account on; until then a carrier cannot see or bid on freight. U.S.-based carriers apply with their USDOT number and must show active common or contract authority in FMCSA records. Mexican carriers submit their RFC and constancia de situación fiscal, SICT operating permit, proof of address and ID for their legal representative. Canadian carriers submit their provincial safety registration number (CVOR, NIR or NSC), a safety fitness certificate, a certificate of incorporation and a certificate of insurance. Carriers are asked for three references. Cargado's review does not replace a broker's own carrier onboarding; brokers list requirements such as CTPAT, bonded status or cargo insurance on each posting and confirm them before tendering. - Cargado meets with every broker before onboarding them. Cargado is not an open load board. - Broker plans: Starter is $500 a month (25 load postings and 50 rate lookups), Team is $849 a month (50 postings and 100 rate lookups) and Growth is $1,499 a month (100 postings and 200 rate lookups); Enterprise is custom pricing with unlimited postings, rate lookups and users. Starter, Team and Growth can pay monthly, or save 10% with quarterly billing or 20% with annual billing. Every plan includes unlimited users; there is no per-seat pricing and no commission on loads. Carriers pay nothing. - The platform supports English, Spanish, and French with instant chat translation. ## Platform - [Cargado for Brokers](https://cargado.com/brokers): Quote, cover, and grow Mexico and Canada freight; vetted carrier network, real-time bidding, market rates. - [Cargado for Carriers](https://cargado.com/carriers): Find Mexico and Canada freight from brokers Cargado meets before onboarding, at no cost; spot loads, dedicated lanes, real-time bidding. - [Pricing](https://cargado.com/pricing): How much Cargado costs: broker plans from $500 a month (Starter), $849 (Team) and $1,499 (Growth), Enterprise for unlimited use, unlimited users on every plan, carriers at no cost. - [Market Rates](https://cargado.com/platform/market-rates): Instant Mexico and Canada freight rates from real carrier bids, with low/mid/high bands and confidence scores. - [Marketplace](https://cargado.com/platform/marketplace): The network of vetted carriers and the brokers Cargado meets before onboarding; post once, get bids, book instantly. - [Posting types](https://cargado.com/platform/posting-types): Four ways to post Mexico and Canada freight: a load, a lane, or a Potential Load or Potential Lane for freight you're still quoting, such as an RFP. - [Freight modes](https://cargado.com/platform/modes): Full truckload, partial truckload (LTL) and power-only freight for Mexico and Canada, posted on one form; pick the mode and carriers bid on it. - [Full truckload](https://cargado.com/platform/full-truckload): Post full truckload freight to and from Mexico and Canada, accept more than one trailer type, set who handles the border crossing, and get carrier bids. - [Partial truckload (LTL)](https://cargado.com/platform/partial-truckload-ltl): Post LTL and partial truckload freight for Mexico and Canada on the standard form; no freight class, enter the units and Cargado works out linear feet. - [Power Only](https://cargado.com/platform/power-only): Post power-only moves for Mexico and Canada freight: Pre-loaded, Load-out or Tow-away, with your trailer and the carrier's tractor and driver. - [Get started](https://cargado.com/get-started): Brokers book a demo; carriers request access. ## Shippers - [Cargado for shippers](https://cargado.com/shippers): Shippers do not join the marketplace; they use Cargado to benchmark contracted and spot freight against recent carrier bids placed in the marketplace, compiled weekly into low, mid and high bands with a confidence score per lane (the score reflects how much carrier bidding sits behind that lane). Coverage: U.S.–Mexico cross-border in both directions, domestic Mexico, and U.S.–Canada cross-border; intra-Canada moves are not covered. Shown in dollars, pesos or Canadian dollars (domestic Mexico in pesos by default). - [Market Rates](https://cargado.com/platform/market-rates): The product behind the benchmarks: Mexico and Canada freight rates from carrier bids, not surveys or invoices, with low, mid and high bands, confidence scores and a trailing 12-week lane history; shippers subscribe directly, use the Excel add-in, call the API, or reach the same bands inside a partner platform (GoodShip is live today). - [Help for shippers](https://cargado.com/help/shippers): How to read the band and the confidence score, why the bands include fuel, why domestic Mexico lanes are priced in pesos, the ways to get the rates (direct, Excel add-in, API or a partner platform), and how the marketplace fits around a shipper's existing brokers. - [How do I build a fuel surcharge for Mexico freight?](https://cargado.com/shippers/mexico-fuel-surcharge): Why the U.S. fuel surcharge table does not transfer to Mexico, how Mexican diesel pricing works, and what a defensible surcharge clause needs. - [Does the market rate include fuel?](https://cargado.com/help-articles/does-the-rate-include-fuel): Yes. The low, mid and high figures include fuel, in the app, in Excel and through the API; they are fuel-inclusive rates, not linehaul. If a broker quotes linehaul and fuel separately, add their surcharge to their linehaul before comparing to the band. - Shippers reach Cargado through the form on the shippers page or at contact@cargado.com; the marketplace itself is for brokers, 3PLs, forwarders and vetted carriers. ## Coverage - [Mexico freight coverage](https://cargado.com/coverage/mexico): Verified carriers for cross-border and domestic Mexico freight at every major U.S.–Mexico crossing. - [Canada freight coverage](https://cargado.com/coverage/canada): FAST-approved, PIP- and PEP-certified carriers for cross-border and domestic Canada freight. - [Dry van](https://cargado.com/coverage/dry-van): Vetted dry van carriers for Mexico and Canada freight. - [Temperature-controlled](https://cargado.com/coverage/temperature-controlled): Reefer and heated capacity with CTPAT-certified carriers. - [Open deck](https://cargado.com/coverage/open-deck): Flatbed, stepdeck, RGN, Conestoga, and heavy haul capacity. ## The Mexico 101 Guide - [Guide hub](https://cargado.com/mexico-101-guides): 13 chapters on finding, quoting, moving, and growing Mexico freight. - [The Mexico freight opportunity is bigger than most brokers think](https://cargado.com/mexico-101-guides/mexico-freight-opportunity) - [How to find Mexico freight hiding in your book](https://cargado.com/mexico-101-guides/find-mexico-freight) - [Three prospecting plays that consistently work](https://cargado.com/mexico-101-guides/prospecting-plays) - [Who to sell Mexico freight to](https://cargado.com/mexico-101-guides/who-buys-mexico-freight) - [Mexico freight is never part of the RFP](https://cargado.com/mexico-101-guides/mexico-freight-rfp) - [Questions to ask in the discovery call](https://cargado.com/mexico-101-guides/discovery-call-questions) - [How to quote Mexico freight with confidence](https://cargado.com/mexico-101-guides/quote-mexico-freight) - [How Mexico freight actually moves](https://cargado.com/mexico-101-guides/how-mexico-freight-moves) - [Mexico freight paperwork explained](https://cargado.com/mexico-101-guides/mexico-freight-paperwork) - [Detention and drop trailers](https://cargado.com/mexico-101-guides/detention-and-drop-trailers) - [Tracking requirements for Mexico freight](https://cargado.com/mexico-101-guides/mexico-freight-tracking) - [First load checklist for Mexico freight](https://cargado.com/mexico-101-guides/first-load-checklist) - [How to build Mexico freight in your first year](https://cargado.com/mexico-101-guides/build-mexico-freight) ## Customer stories - [Case studies](https://cargado.com/resources/case-studies): Real results from brokers and carriers on Cargado. - [Blackbox Logistics](https://cargado.com/insights/blackbox-logistics): Grew Mexico revenue 1,400% in four months from a standing start. - [CargoQuotes](https://cargado.com/insights/cargoquotes): Built a Mexico carrier network without hiring a single carrier rep. - [Gebrüder Weiss](https://cargado.com/insights/gebruder-weiss): From limited cross-border capacity to a scalable carrier network. - [BCR Transport](https://cargado.com/insights/bcr-transport): Grew from 1 to 6 trucks and 50 customers using only Cargado. - [Rover Carrier](https://cargado.com/insights/rover-carrier): Better rates and faster booking: freight in minutes instead of hours. - [SBC Transportation](https://cargado.com/insights/sbc-transportation): Grew a new specialized fleet 40% and cut booking time 95%. ## Resources - [Insights and news](https://cargado.com/insights): Market data, how-to guides, and company news for Mexico and Canada freight. - [How top logistics providers price Mexico freight in 2026](https://cargado.com/insights/mexico-pricing-2026) - [Mexico 101 webinars](https://cargado.com/webinars): Live sessions with CEO Matt Silver on winning Mexico freight. - [Events](https://cargado.com/events): Where to find the Cargado team at freight events across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. ## Freight corridors - [Freight lanes directory](https://cargado.com/lanes): Market-level pages for Mexico and Canada freight corridors, expanded into directional lane pages: direction, equipment mix, and carrier availability on every lane, plus the U.S.–Mexico border crossing where a lane crosses into or out of Mexico, built from real marketplace activity.
