The story

Today Cargado, a modern marketplace for Mexico and Canada freight, is announcing an integration with Tai TMS, part of Descartes Systems Group since August. Brokers on Tai can now send their Mexico and Canada loads to Cargado's vetted carriers straight from Tai, and carrier bids come back to the shipment in Tai.

What the integration does

  • Carrier compliance syncs. Only carriers who pass your onboarding can be assigned your freight.
  • Freight syncs. No one enters load details or clicks a button to post. Your posting rules decide which shipments go out.
  • Bids come back to Tai. You can assign carriers automatically.
  • It runs 24/7. Loads post and bids come in while your team is off.

How it works

Take one Mexico shipment from Monterrey, NL to Chattanooga, TN.

  1. Your rules decide what posts. Shipments sync to Cargado when you save them in Tai. Only Committed shipments can post, and your posting rules decide which go to the marketplace and which stay with your dedicated or preferred carriers.
  2. Your carrier list decides who sees it. Carrier Sync brings your carriers and their compliance status over from Tai. Do not dispatch carriers never see your freight. Carriers marked Active - Can onboard get your onboarding link and must finish it before they can be assigned.
  3. Carriers price each leg. Carriers see a TMS synced tag on your load. On a Mexico shipment, they bid on the Mexico portion, the border crossing and the U.S. portion.
  4. Your rate rules counter automatically. Each bid shows up on the shipment in Tai as an Active carrier quote. If a bid is above what your rate rules allow, the carrier gets a counter bid right away. Your team can still send the rate confirmation.
  5. Confirm the truck in one chat. The covered load opens in Cargado Chat, where you confirm the Mexican partner carrier, truck, trailer, crossing partner and pickup time. Chat translates between English and Spanish.

Availability

The integration is live today. Each shipment that posts from Tai counts as a posting on your Cargado plan. Cargado also integrates with McLeod, Turvo and Revenova, and the Cargado API connects teams that run their own software.
