How Cargado decides who can use the marketplace, what the platform does to prevent fraud, and how we handle your data.
Every carrier applies, and our team reviews the application before turning the account on. Broker accounts are created by Cargado under a signed agreement, so nobody can sign themselves up as a broker.
What a carrier submits depends on where it is based: active FMCSA authority for U.S.-based carriers, tax, permit and company documents for Mexican carriers, and safety, incorporation and insurance documents for Canadian carriers. Our carrier vetting page lists every document and what happens to it.
See how Cargado vets carriersOur team is alerted when a carrier's USDOT status is no longer active, brokers can block carriers on their own postings, and we can deactivate any account.
These protections are built into the platform.
Other broker accounts cannot browse your postings or see your carrier lists. Carriers eligible for a posting can see it, and Cargado staff can access your account to support you. For a security review, email legal@cargado.com, and we will work with your procurement process.
Mexican carriers can apply without a USDOT number, so don't assume one holds U.S. authority. If your load needs U.S. registration or authority, confirm the carrier has it before you tender.
No. Carriers enter CTPAT, OEA, FAST, CAAT and bonded details on their own profile. If your compliance process needs proof, ask the carrier for the certificate before you tender.
Once a bid or counteroffer on the load is accepted. Until then, keeping first contact in chat means the conversation stays on the record.
No. Our review decides who can use the marketplace. Run your own onboarding and compliance checks before a carrier hauls for you.
No. Cargado is not a party to freight payments. You pay carriers the way you normally do.
