Every carrier in Cargado's network passes a rigorous vetting process before they can see a posting or bid on freight — protecting brokers from fraud, safety violations, and unreliable capacity.
A 15-point check: MC/MX number verification, DOT status, out-of-service history, authority type and age, entity type, BIPD insurance, phone verification, fleet size, address cross-reference, inspection records, and owner validation — the checks that catch double-brokering and identity fraud.
Carriers must hold a Satisfactory or Not Rated federal safety rating. Conditional and Unsatisfactory carriers are not accepted — every carrier in the network meets minimum federal safety standards.
Three references from brokers the carrier has actually worked with, each verified by phone by our Carrier Partnership Team: does the carrier pick up on time, deliver as promised, and communicate professionally?
Our border-city teams visit carrier facilities across Mexico in person — especially important where documentation is harder to validate remotely.
Authority status, safety ratings, insurance, broker complaints, and bounced matches are monitored continuously. Carriers who fall below standards are coached, restricted, or removed — and because carriers never pay Cargado, there's no financial incentive to keep a bad actor in the network.
Authority verification catches double-brokering and identity fraud before a carrier ever sees your freight.
Verified references confirm carriers actually perform — not just that their paperwork is in order.
Report a carrier issue and we investigate and act. Cargado vetting supplements your own compliance process — carriers still complete your onboarding before dispatch.
2,000+ vetted Mexico and Canada carriers — invite-only, referenced, and continuously monitored.
