Electronics and electrical freight

Any vetted carrier whose trailer, authority and drivers fit the lane. Cargado does not sort carriers by product. Electronics and electrical loads are posted from Mexico to the U.S., from the U.S. to Mexico, between the U.S. and Canada, and within Mexico and the U.S., mostly for dry van, so the trailer you post decides who bids.

Typical equipment

Electronics and electrical loads post mostly for dry van in every direction on record, with open deck also posted. Dry van postings can name air ride, e-tracks or logistics posts.

Where it concentrates

Posted both ways between Mexico and the U.S. and between the U.S. and Canada, and within Mexico and within the U.S. Few loads are posted within Canada so far.

How electronics and electrical freight moves on the network

Electronics and electrical goods are posted in six directions: from Mexico to the U.S., from the U.S. to Mexico, from Canada to the U.S., from the U.S. to Canada, and within Mexico and within the U.S. In every one of them most loads are posted for dry van. Open deck also posts for the group, but dry van is the family to plan for.

Few electronics loads are posted within Canada so far.

Carriers do not declare the products they haul, so there is no list of electronics carriers. Postings describe their freight, and we group those descriptions into this set ourselves. What decides who bids is the trailer, the lane and the authority. Postings in these directions also ask for a C-TPAT carrier and for round-the-clock carrier support, and between Mexico and the U.S. for a carrier bonded for Mexico. Those are direction-level requests, not electronics-specific ones.

A dry van posting can name the specs that matter for sensitive goods, such as air ride, e-tracks or logistics posts. Data center and server equipment has its own insight, linked below.

Electronics and electrical by direction

  • Mexico to the U.S.: posted, mostly for dry van.
  • The U.S. to Mexico: posted, mostly for dry van.
  • Within Mexico: posted, mostly for dry van. Mexican carriers only.
  • Canada to the U.S. and the U.S. to Canada: posted, mostly for dry van.
  • Within the U.S.: posted, mostly for dry van. U.S. carriers only.
  • Within Canada: few loads posted so far.
  • Requests also posted in these directions: a C-TPAT carrier, round-the-clock support, and between Mexico and the U.S. a bond for Mexico.

How to reach electronics capacity on Cargado

Post it as dry van and name the specs the goods need, such as air ride or e-tracks. Add C-TPAT as a carrier requirement if your customer's program asks, a bond for Mexico on a Mexico to U.S. lane, and a minimum cargo insurance sized to the load. Each suggested carrier shows why it was picked, such as "Available truck" or "Preferred lane", but not whether it holds C-TPAT or how much insurance it carries. Ask each bidder for its C-TPAT status and an insurance certificate that covers the value of the goods.

How the marketplace works

  • Open deck is also posted for the electronics and electrical group.
  • Few electronics and electrical loads are posted within Canada so far.
  • The commodity grouping is Cargado's own classification of unstructured commodity descriptions, not a platform field.
  • Carriers do not declare a product specialty, so there is no electronics carrier list; postings describe the freight and we group those descriptions.
  • Freight that starts and ends in Mexico goes to Mexican carriers only, and within the U.S. to U.S. carriers only.

More questions

Can I require C-TPAT for an electronics load?

Yes. You can require C-TPAT, a bond or a minimum cargo insurance on any posting. Postings ask for C-TPAT in every electronics direction. Certifications are declared by the carrier, with documents our team reviews.

Does electronics freight move to and from Canada?

Yes, between Canada and the U.S. Electronics is posted from Canada to the U.S. and from the U.S. to Canada, mostly for dry van. Few electronics loads are posted within Canada so far. Name the true origin and destination, and the load goes to the carriers that can haul it.

How do I find carriers for data center equipment?

Data center and server freight is covered in our insight on data center equipment between Mexico and the U.S. The same posting rules apply: name the trailer, the origin and destination and the crossing, and vetted carriers bid.

Common questions

What carriers move electronics between Mexico and the U.S.?

Vetted carriers whose equipment, authority and drivers fit the lane. Electronics and electrical loads are posted in both directions between Mexico and the U.S., mostly for dry van, so the trailer you post decides who bids. Carriers are not sorted by product.

What equipment is used for electronics cross-border?

Dry van, mostly. Open deck also posts for the group. On a dry van posting you can name specs such as air ride, e-tracks or logistics posts. State the trailer and any spec up front so carriers bid on the load you mean.
