Partial truckload and LTL freight for Mexico and Canada

There is no separate LTL form on Cargado. Pick Partial truckload (LTL) on the posting form, describe the units, and Cargado works out the linear feet, so carriers can tell whether your freight fits the space on their truck before they bid.

From pallets to linear feet

Carriers looking for partials need to know how much space your freight takes. You describe the units; Cargado does the math.

  1. What you enter

    The units

Pick Partial truckload (LTL) under Mode. Then enter the weight, the Packaging Type and Count, the Dimensions per unit, and whether units are stackable.

  2. What Cargado works out

    Total Linear Feet

Cargado works out the Total Linear Feet from those fields and the trailer type you picked. You can change the number.

In the help center's example, 12 stackable pallets on a 53 ft dry van come to 12 feet. Your number depends on the dimensions you enter.
  3. What carriers see

    Whether it fits

The posting shows the piece count, the dimensions and the linear feet. Carriers filter Find Freight by Mode and can set the most linear feet they have room for.

A carrier with 16 feet of room sees postings that fit. Fictional values, Cargado's own filter labels.

No freight class to look up. Just the units, their size and the trailer.

Twelve pallets for Laredo

A customer has a dozen pallets heading for the border, nowhere near a full trailer. Post them as a partial and carriers with room on that lane can bid to fill it.

1

Pick Partial truckload (LTL)

It's the middle choice under Mode, between Full truckload and Power Only.

2

Give carriers the size

Packaging Type, Count, Dimensions per unit and the weight. Cargado works out the linear feet.

3

Check Lift Gate if you need one

Carriers see it on the posting before they bid.

Partials post as Loads, Lanes, or Potential Loads or Lanes, like full truckload freight. Cargado Market Rates price full truckload freight only, so a partial gets its price from the carrier bids.
