Set up your Revenova integration
Connecting Revenova to Cargado is free, and Cargado hosts and supports it. Cargado gives you a certificate and an integration email; your Salesforce admin sets up the app and sends back the instance URL and keys.
The Revenova integration is free. Cargado hosts it and supports it, and you do not need your Revenova rep: we connect directly to the Salesforce org where your Revenova TMS runs.
What Cargado provides
- A public certificate that the Salesforce app uses to let Cargado sign in.
- An integration email at cargado.com for the Salesforce user you create for Cargado.
- The setup guide for Revenova and Salesforce, and help on a shared screen if you want it.
What you provide
Your Salesforce admin sets up a permission set, the integration user and an External Client App that uses our certificate, then sends:
- Your Salesforce instance URL.
- The External Client App Consumer Key and Consumer Secret.
- Which org it is: sandbox or production.
Change Data Capture is optional. Without it, Cargado checks Revenova for changes every few minutes.
Sandbox first: Revenova setup starts in a Salesforce sandbox so we can check the configuration before connecting production.
Four questions we ask during setup
- Who covers the freight. Which Revenova field names the person or team that owns coverage, if any. During setup, we assign the coverage owner and teams in Cargado and set a fallback owner.
- Which rate to post. Which Revenova field, if any, holds the rate you want on the posting.
- Loads without a rate. Whether those can post as bid-only, so carriers send their price.
- Ready to post. Which Revenova status means a load can be posted.
What happens after you connect
- Your Revenova freight syncs into Cargado. Until a load is posted, only your team can see it.
- Nothing reaches carriers until you approve a posting rule or post a load yourself. See Set up auto-posting rules.
- During setup, we confirm which TMS status means a load is no longer available. When that status syncs, Cargado takes the posting down.
- Carrier bids come back to the load in Revenova, and when you book a carrier, the booking syncs back to Revenova too. The rate confirmation still comes from your team. Carrier Sync is not connected to Revenova yet.
For how synced loads post and how bids come in, see What does a TMS integration do?
For how Revenova loads post, see How Revenova loads post to Cargado.
Send credentials directly
Send keys, tokens, passwords and secrets straight to your Cargado contact. Never post them in a shared chat, channel or group thread, where people outside the setup can read them.
How to start
Email success@cargado.com or ask your Cargado contact. We start with a short call with someone on your team who knows your Revenova setup and can approve posting rules.
Still stuck?
Email us and a person on our team will answer. Send the posting link or a screenshot if you have one.
