After a match: reaching the carrier, or the broker
What the match message gives you, where the chat is, and how contact details get exchanged.
A bid is accepted and both sides get a match message. It carries the carrier's name and, when they are on file, its city and state, its carrier numbers and the name of the person who bid.
The match email goes to both sides: the people on the load, plus anyone added by each side's notification settings, set for the company or for the team assigned to the load. A reply all reaches everyone it was sent to, which is a quick way to confirm the handoff, but keep the details of the load in the chat.
Talk in the chat first
Every match has a chat attached to it, and that is where the conversation belongs. It is the fastest route to the other side and it keeps the thread attached to the load, so anyone who picks it up later can see what was agreed.
The chat translates both ways. A broker who writes in English is read in Spanish, and the reply comes back in English. Translated messages carry a Show original link so you can always check the words that were actually typed. You do not need a bilingual rep on the team for routine coverage.
How phone numbers and paperwork get exchanged
Through your own process, not through ours. Cargado makes the match; the relationship is yours.
For a broker, that is your carrier onboarding link. Send your success manager the link you use, whether that is Highway, RMIS, MyCarrierPackets or your own form, and from then on every match tells the carrier to onboard with you first. Your packet is where the phone numbers, the insurance certificate and the W-9 change hands, exactly as they would on any other load.
For a carrier, the broker's onboarding packet is where you give them your details and get theirs. If a match has been made and no packet has reached you, say so in the chat.
Then it is an ordinary load
You send the rate confirmation and dispatch. You pay the carrier directly, on your own terms. Cargado never touches the payment and takes no cut of the freight.
If the match came off a Lane rather than a Load, the posting stays live afterward. You do not need to repost it to book the next carrier.
Still stuck?
Email us and a person on our team will answer. Send the posting link or a screenshot if you have one.
