Verify faster with your USDOT number

When you apply to Cargado with a USDOT number, you can now verify that you work for that carrier on your own, instead of waiting for our team to check. If your company can be set up on Cargado, we then send your invite right away.

How it works

• Your email matches FMCSA: if the work email you apply with is exactly the email on your FMCSA registration, you skip the code.
• Your email does not match: verify with a code instead. We send a one-time code to the email your company has on file with the FMCSA.

Verify with a code

1. On Verify it’s you, click Email a code.
2. Enter the 6-digit code and click Verify & continue.
3. Follow what the next screen says. If we sent your invite, it is in the email you applied with: accept it to set your password and finish creating your account. If our team needs to take it from here, they follow up by email, usually within one business day.

If you cannot get the code

• Send it again: click Resend code. Wait at least 60 seconds between codes. You can get up to 5 codes, and the session ends 15 minutes after it starts. After that, start again.
• Try another method: if another method is available, click Choose another method and pick it.
• Ask our team: click I don’t have access to this email or phone. The Cargado team will work with you to get verified and usually follows up by email within one business day.

Good to know

• Where the invite goes: always to the email you applied with, even when the code went to a different email.
• No contact on file: if FMCSA has no contact details for your company, click Submit for review and our team will review your application.
