Cargado does not pay you for the load, and it does not take a cut of it. Payment is between you and the broker that posted the freight, on that broker's terms.

Want to know a broker's terms before you bid? Message them in the posting's chat and ask how they handle payment.

Carrier view of a load from Pied Piper Logistics, Monterrey to Chattanooga: the header, the booking panel (Book now for USD 4,400, Submit bid) and, outlined in blue, the Contact Broker box with a Message field.
Questions about payment terms go to the broker. Use Contact Broker on the posting.

What happens when your bid is accepted

  1. You and the broker both get a match message in the posting's chat. It shows the bid you agreed on and the next steps.
  2. If you have not onboarded with that broker yet, the message says "Carrier onboarding required before receiving a rate confirmation" and links to the broker's own onboarding form. Finish it first. The broker cannot send you a rate confirmation until you do.
  3. The broker sets your company up in their own system and sends you the rate confirmation.
Match message in the posting chat: Matched $4,150, carrier Carajillo Carriers, accepted bid broken down by Mexico portion, border crossing and United States portion, next steps, and a green bar reading "Carrier onboarding required before receiving a rate confirmation." with an Onboard now button, outlined in blue.
The match message. Until you finish the broker's onboarding, it shows "Carrier onboarding required before receiving a rate confirmation."

The rate confirmation is your agreement for the load. It carries the rate, the broker's payment terms and the paperwork they need from you.

After you deliver

  1. Confirm the delivery with the broker.
  2. Send the signed proof of delivery (POD) and the bill of lading (BOL).
  3. Invoice the broker, the way their rate confirmation or carrier packet tells you to.

Questions about payment timing, quick pay or factoring go to the broker, because those are their terms. Cargado does not offer factoring or quick pay, and we never hold your money.

If a payment goes wrong

Raise it with the broker first. If you cannot resolve it, email carriers@cargado.com with the posting link and the broker's name. We cannot pay you in their place, but we do want to know about it.
