Rename a workspace, or make it private

Where workspace settings live, who can change them, and exactly what private does.

A workspace holds freight: most companies make one per office, or one per agent. Only an admin or owner on your account can change a workspace. Everyone else can open the settings but cannot edit them.

Rename a workspace

  1. Open your profile menu and choose Workspaces.
  2. Open the workspace and change Workspace Name.

Open the workspace, change Workspace Name and save.

Make a workspace private

On the same screen, turn on Make workspace private.

A private workspace is visible only to the members of that workspace and to your account's admins and owners. Everyone else at your company stops seeing it in their list of workspaces. Use it when an office or an agent's freight should stay separate from the rest of the company.

Your default workspace cannot be made private.

Archive a workspace

For a workspace you no longer use, turn on Archive this workspace. The default workspace cannot be archived.

Change your default workspace

There is no setting for this. Email success@cargado.com with the name of the workspace you want as the default, and we will change it for you.
