What does a posting tell me before I bid?
How to read a posting from top to bottom: the summary, stops and border crossing, equipment, load details, requirements and the company.
Click a row on the Load board to open the posting. A summary sits at the top, then the bid card, then the full details in sections. The sections tell you where you pick up, who crosses the border, what equipment you need and what the logistics company requires.
The summary at the top
The top shows the posting type, origin and destination, the border crossing, the distance and whether each end is live or drop. On a Load it also shows the pickup appointment. Below that are the logistics company's name, the trailer, the product (except on empty-trailer moves) and any yellow requirement tags. A map shows the route.

Next to the company name you may see one of two badges:
- Onboarded: the logistics company already has you set up in its own system.
- Need to onboard: you need to onboard with them before they can book you on their freight. Onboarding happens between you and the logistics company.
The bid card
The dark card below the summary is where you bid with Submit bid. Some postings also show Book now for followed by a set rate, such as USD $4,500. Under it, Contact Broker opens a chat with the logistics company, so you can ask questions before you bid.
Stops
Each stop is listed in order with its location and how it is handled, such as Pickup Live or Drop Trailer. On a Load, pickups and deliveries also show their appointment, which can be a date and time, a window, or First come, first served. Lanes list the stops without appointments. Between stops, Transit gives the distance of that leg.
On a cross-border posting, the Border Crossing stop shows:
- The crossing, for example Laredo, TX - Intl Bridge.
- The average time to cross, such as "1 day avg", when it is known.
- Who crosses. Carrier handles border crossing means you take the freight across. Pre-set transfer means a crossing carrier is already assigned to the border crossing. It can come with notes such as No B1 drivers.

Equipment
- Trailer: the trailer type and any trailer details, such as door type, food grade or a lift gate.
- Other required equipment: extra gear the load needs, such as straps. If there is none, it says No other equipment required.
- Available trucks: on a Load, your posted trucks near this posting. View truck list opens your full list.
Load Details
The weight and the product, with details such as packaging and, for a reefer, the temperature. Empty-trailer moves do not have this section. A Lane or Potential Lane starts with a Frequency section instead, which shows how many loads per period and the dates the project runs.
Carrier & Driver Requirements
What the logistics company needs from you and your driver. This can include a minimum cargo insurance amount, certifications such as CTPAT carrier, a bonded carrier, a TWIC card, a CDL driver, a Tanker endorsed driver or 24/7 Customer Service. If you cannot bid on a posting, see why you cannot bid.
Check the company
To see who you would work with, open your chat with the logistics company and click its name at the top of the chat. The profile shows:
- The company name, and its Legal name: when one is on file
- Its registered address
- The Onboarded or Need to onboard badge, when Cargado knows your status with that company
- USDOT and MC numbers, when the company has them on file
Tip: To start that chat before you bid, click Message... under Contact Broker on the posting, then write in the chat that opens.
