How do I set up my company profile so the board shows the right freight?
Fill in Operations and Service Areas after approval. They decide which postings show on your Load board and which ones you get alerts for.
Fill in two parts of your company profile: Operations and Service Areas. Together they decide which postings show on your Load board and which ones you get alerts for.
Do this as soon as your company is approved. If you are still in review, see Getting approved as a carrier.
Step 1: Review your profile, then fill in Operations
Until Operations and Service Areas are filled in, people who can edit the company profile go to a short setup instead of the board. The steps open in order.
First, check your company details on Review your profile and click Submit & Continue.
On Operations, fill in:
- Number of Drivers, Number of Power Units and Number of Trailers. All three are required.
- Your trailers by type: Dry Van, Temperature Controlled, Open Deck and Straight/Box Truck.
- What specialized load types do you service? Check the ones you run, such as Hazmat, Power Only, Partial Truckload, and overweight or oversize loads on open-deck trailers. Tanker Endorsed shows only for companies with a USDOT number.
Click Submit & Continue.
Step 2: Tell us where you run in Service Areas
Answer each question in turn:
- What countries do you service? Mexico, the United States, Canada, or more than one. The countries you can pick depend on your registration. A Canadian carrier, for example, needs a USDOT number for the United States or Mexico.
- Which routes do you haul? For example, Mexico to the United States.
- What border crossings do you use? This question appears when you pick Mexico and at least one other country.
- The places in each country where you pick up and where you deliver.

Step 3: Finish the setup
You can skip GPS and Telematics for now with Skip. The last step, Invite your team, lets you add coworkers. See How do I add people from my company? Then click Finish profile.
Step 4: Confirm your personal freight preferences
Once your company has service areas, a window called Set your personal freight preferences appears the first time each person opens the board. It stays open until you confirm it. It starts from the company profile. Narrow it to the freight you handle:
- Trailer types
- Routes
- Border crossings, when your company runs Mexico and at least one other country
Click Confirm and view load board. Your first confirm also sets up email alerts for postings that fit: new spot loads right away, new lanes in summary emails during the day. Existing alerts stay as they are.
To change these choices later, click the sliders icon (Customize) next to the search bar.

How your profile filters the board
The Load board is not the whole marketplace. It shows postings that fit your trailers, routes, crossings and profile requirements such as hazmat and certifications. When those run out, it adds Expanded results: and, last, All freight:, which loosens trailer type and crossing.
A complete profile and posted trucks also help logistics companies find you when they post.
Tip: If something is missing from your profile, you can miss freight that fits you. To edit your profile, click your initials and look under Organization:
- Operations: change your counts, trailers or load types, then click Save.
- Service Areas: open a country to change where you pick up and deliver. These changes save on their own. To add or remove countries, click Change service area countries.
If you cannot edit the company profile
Members without permission to edit the company profile skip this setup and go straight to the board. Once the company has service areas, they see the personal preferences window the first time. They do not see the Operations and Service Areas tabs, so ask a teammate who can edit the profile.
