Yes, you can post freight that picks up and delivers inside Mexico. It works like any other posting, as a Load, Lane, Potential Load or Potential Lane. Once every stop is in Mexico, the form shows the Mexican units and lets you post in pesos.

For how Mexican carriers find and bid on your freight, see How do I cover Mexico freight?

Step 1: Enter your stops in Mexico

Add your pickups and deliveries. When all of them are in Mexico, the form changes:

  • The Border Crossing section goes away.
  • Min. Cargo Insurance goes away. It only shows when a route touches the U.S. or Canada.
  • Weight starts in metric tons. You can switch to kilograms or pounds.
  • Transit requirements appear under Mexico Transit Requirements, which includes Requires security escort.

Step 2: Pick the unit

Under Trailer Requirements, a route inside Mexico adds the Mexican units: 0.5 Ton, 1 Ton, 1.5 Ton, 3.5 Ton, 4.5 Ton Rabon, Rabon and Torton. The usual dry van, reefer and flatbed types are there too.

Important: These units only exist on routes inside Mexico. If you change a stop to the U.S. or Canada, they drop off your selection. Choose a trailer type again before you post.

Step 3: Set the rate in pesos

A new posting starts in U.S. dollars. To post in pesos, choose MXN:

  • With Instant Responses on, pick MXN in the currency list next to your target rate.
  • With Instant Responses off, pick MXN under Currency of Payout.

Carriers see your posting and bid in the currency you choose.

Tip: Check the market first. On the Rates tab, a lane inside Mexico comes back in pesos unless you choose another currency. See Part 2 · Price it first.

What about freight inside the U.S.?

A route that stays inside the U.S. has to start or end in a U.S.-Mexico border zone. If neither end is in one, the route cannot be posted. A border city in the middle of the route does not count. If the route does not qualify, the form says Intra-US routes must begin or end at a US/MX border city.
